The Cable Lateral Raise is an isolation exercise targeting the lateral head of the deltoid. To set up, stand sideways to a low cable pulley, grasping the handle with the arm furthest from the machine. Maintain a slight bend in the elbow and raise the arm out to the side until it is parallel with the floor, focusing on contracting the side deltoid. Control the eccentric phase as you slowly lower the weight back to the starting position.
