The hip thrust is a powerful glute-building exercise that involves driving the hips upwards while the upper back is supported on a bench. Begin by positioning your upper back against a sturdy bench, with a barbell across your hips and feet flat on the floor. Drive through your heels, extending your hips fully towards the ceiling, squeezing your glutes at the top. Control the descent back to the starting position.
