Hyrox St. Gallen 2027: What the Calendar Says, and the Swiss Race You Can Still Enter
Is there a Hyrox St. Gallen 2027 date? The published 2026/27 calendar has already passed its January slot without one. What that means — and the Swiss race in February 2027 you can actually enter.

The published season calendar already covers January 2027. St. Gallen is not in it.
Hyrox St. Gallen has run twice — February 2025 and January 2026, both at OLMA Messen. For 2027 there is no announced date, no event page and no ticket sale, and unlike some other cities the calendar has already moved past its usual slot. That is a more definite answer than "not confirmed yet", and it changes what you should do about it.
In short: No date and no tickets for Hyrox St. Gallen 2027. The published 2026/27 season calendar runs from September 2026 to the World Championships on 10–13 June 2027 and contains no St. Gallen race at all — including in January, the month both previous editions used. The realistic next window is therefore the 2027/28 season, whose calendar is not published yet. Hyrox Basel, 12–14 February 2027, is the Swiss race you can enter for 2027, and its tickets are already on sale. If Basel is your plan, a 12-week block starts around 20 November 2026.
Status: 3 September 2026. Calendar checked against the official Hyrox race finder; event-page status checked directly; participation figures from the public results database; venue access from the OLMA Messen site. This page is updated if Hyrox announces a St. Gallen date, and the status line changes with it.

The 2027 date: the January slot has passed
Both previous St. Gallen races were winter races — February 2025 and 16–18 January 2026. That matters, because the 2026/27 season calendar is already published in full, and it covers exactly that window.
January 2027 in the official calendar holds Hong Kong, Noida, Manchester, Osaka, Amsterdam and Verona. February holds Toulouse, Auckland, Bilbao, Bangkok, Chicago, Basel, Katowice, Vienna, Cancun and Phoenix. St. Gallen appears in neither, and it appears nowhere else in the season either. The official event page at hyrox.com/event/hyrox-st-gallen/ returns a not-found page.
So the situation is different from a city whose slot is still ahead of it. For St. Gallen, the honest reading is:
- A 2027 race in the usual January window is effectively off the table for this season. Hyrox does occasionally add races late, but adding a race into a month that is already scheduled, months out, is not the normal pattern.
- The realistic next window is the 2027/28 season — which, on the two-edition pattern so far, would mean January 2028. That calendar is not published this far ahead, so there is nothing to check yet.
Nothing about that says St. Gallen is finished. Two editions in two years at a venue that worked is a reason to expect a third. It just is not a 2027 reason.
Basel is the Swiss race for 2027
If what you actually wanted was a Hyrox in Switzerland in 2027, the answer is short: Hyrox Basel, 12–14 February 2027, at Messe Basel. It is confirmed on the official calendar, its event page is live, and tickets are on sale — the only Swiss race in the 2026/27 season after Geneva ran in October 2026.
Basel is a genuinely close substitute for a St. Gallen entry. It is a winter indoor race in a city-centre exhibition hall, three weeks later in the calendar than St. Gallen's 2026 date, and reachable from eastern Switzerland by direct train. Most of what is still unpublished about it — the per-division schedule, the laps, the course map — is normal for a race that far out.
Our Hyrox Basel 2027 race-day guide covers the confirmed facts, the trams from both stations, the check-in rules that turn athletes away, and one detail the official page gets wrong about the race being a debut.
When would St. Gallen tickets go on sale?
There is no ticket link, because there is no race on the calendar to sell tickets for. What the current season shows is the lead time you would get once a date exists.
Tickets for Hyrox Düsseldorf, racing 11–15 November 2026, opened on 15 July 2026 — around four months out. Basel races in February 2027 and its tickets are already available. Vienna and Cologne, both with confirmed 2027 dates, still show "ticket sales start soon".
As a planning assumption rather than a rule, a Hyrox race in the DACH region tends to open ticket sales roughly four to six months before race weekend, with the popular divisions gone well before race week. For a hypothetical January 2028 St. Gallen, that would put an on-sale somewhere in the second half of 2027 — after the 2027/28 calendar is published, and comfortably after you would want to start training.
The venue: OLMA Messen
Both St. Gallen editions used OLMA Messen St.Gallen, Splügenstrasse 12, 9008 St.Gallen — the city's exhibition centre, a short walk from a suburban railway station rather than a trip out of town.
For a Hyrox that is a useful venue type: a flat, hard indoor hall with room for a compact run loop, and a January race means an unheated-feeling hall and a cold arrival. The practical consequences are the ones that apply at any winter indoor race — warm up longer than you would in autumn, keep a layer on until close to your call-up, and pack a dry change for afterwards.
Nothing about the venue is confirmed for a future edition, and Hyrox has moved venues between editions in other cities. Treat OLMA as the pattern, not as a booking.
Basel is twelve weeks closer than it looks
A block for 12 February 2027 starts around 20 November 2026. Running, compromised running, the sled and the eight stations — built backwards from race weekend and around the days you can actually train.
Which division St. Gallen actually enters
The 2026 entry data is worth a minute, because it tells you what a Swiss Hyrox field looks like — and it is not the same shape as the giant German races. From the public results database, where singles are individual entries, doubles are teams of two and relay teams of four, which is how they reconcile to the site's total of 7,362 athletes:
| Category | 2026 entries | Athletes |
|---|---|---|
| Singles, Open (men + women) | 1,793 | 1,793 |
| Singles, Pro (men + women) | 219 | 219 |
| Doubles, all categories | 2,482 teams | 4,964 |
| Relay | 96 teams | 384 |
| Adaptive | 2 | 2 |
Doubles is the majority route here too — about two thirds of the athletes at St. Gallen 2026 raced in a pair, with Mixed Doubles the single largest category at 792 teams. Pro singles was 219 people out of 7,362, so roughly three percent of the field.
For comparison, Hyrox Berlin drew close to 30,000 athletes in 2026 — four times St. Gallen's field. Neither is better; they are different races. A 7,000-athlete race has shorter queues, a calmer roxzone and a start-time window you can plan around. If you are weighing Open against Pro before you enter anything, the Pro division benchmarks show what the heavier weights cost in finish time.
Getting there
For OLMA Messen, from the venue's own access information:
- From St.Gallen St.Fiden station: about a 5-minute walk to the eastern entrance of the exhibition grounds. This is the shortest route and the one worth checking your train against.
- From St.Gallen main station: bus 3 or 4 to Olma Messen or Langgass, or bus 6 to Olma Messen.
- By car: A1, exit St.Gallen-Kreuzbleiche (81), then follow the signs. There is no parking at the exhibition grounds — you use the city's public car parks or the extended blue zone, and walk or ride in. The venue recommends public transport outright.
Coming from Zurich, Winterthur or the Bodensee region, the train is the obvious choice: St.Gallen is on the main line, and St.Fiden is one stop further on.
When your training block needs to start
Twelve weeks is the block length most Hyrox preparations are built around — long enough to raise running volume, train the eight stations under fatigue and taper cleanly. Race weekend minus three months is a planning date, not a rule.
Weeks 1–3
Base
Raise weekly running volume and re-learn the eight stations clean and unhurried. Nothing here is fast.
Weeks 4–7
Build
Compromised running: the station goes straight into the run. This is the block that makes race pace feel possible.
Weeks 8–10
Race specific
Full simulations, sled and wall-ball volume at race weight, transitions rehearsed rather than improvised.
Weeks 11–12
Taper
Volume drops, intensity stays. A taper spends nothing — it banks, so you arrive fresh.
For the races that actually exist:
| Race | Date | 12-week block starts around |
|---|---|---|
| Hyrox Basel | 12–14 February 2027 | 20 November 2026 |
| Hyrox Vienna | 19–21 February 2027 | 27 November 2026 |
| Hyrox Cologne | 8–11 April 2027 | 14 January 2027 |
And for a hypothetical mid-January 2028 St. Gallen, a 12-week block would start in late October 2027 — which is to say, there is no training decision to make about it yet, and more than a year in which to build the base that makes any of these races go better.
Less runway is not a reason to skip a race. With six or eight weeks you sharpen compromised running and station efficiency instead of rebuilding an aerobic base. If you want the full structure, the free 12-week Hyrox training plan lays it out week by week, and the three-day version covers the same ground on three sessions.
Frequently asked questions
When is Hyrox St. Gallen 2027?
No date has been announced, and St. Gallen does not appear in the published 2026/27 season calendar — including in January, the month both previous editions used. There is no Hyrox St. Gallen event page. On the pattern so far, the next realistic window is the 2027/28 season.
Is Hyrox coming back to St. Gallen at all?
Nothing suggests otherwise. St. Gallen has hosted two editions at OLMA Messen, in February 2025 and January 2026, and the 2026 race drew 7,362 athletes. Hyrox has simply not scheduled a 2027 edition.
Which Hyrox race can I do in Switzerland in 2027?
Hyrox Basel, 12–14 February 2027, at Messe Basel. It is the only Swiss race in the 2026/27 season after Geneva in October 2026, and its tickets are on sale.
How do I get to OLMA Messen from St.Gallen station?
Bus 3 or 4 to Olma Messen or Langgass, or bus 6 to Olma Messen. From St.Gallen St.Fiden station it is about a five-minute walk. There is no parking at the exhibition grounds.
The bottom line
- There is no Hyrox St. Gallen 2027 date, and unlike some cities its usual January window is already covered by the published calendar without it.
- The realistic next edition is the 2027/28 season — January 2028 on the two-edition pattern — and that calendar is not published yet.
- Basel on 12–14 February 2027 is the Swiss race for 2027. Tickets are on sale; a 12-week block starts around 20 November 2026.
- St. Gallen is a 7,000-athlete race, not a 30,000-athlete one. If that is what you liked about it, Basel in a city-centre hall is closer to it than a mega-event would be.
