The Heel-Elevated Dumbbell Squat is a lower body exercise designed to increase quadriceps activation and improve squat depth. Begin by standing with your heels elevated on weight plates or a squat wedge, holding one or two dumbbells. Descend into a deep squat, allowing your knees to track forward over your toes while maintaining an upright torso. Drive through your midfoot to return to the starting position, focusing on a controlled movement throughout.
Skip or adapt this movement if any of these apply — and check with a professional when in doubt.
