The Walking Lunge is a dynamic, unilateral leg exercise that builds strength, balance, and coordination. Start standing tall, step forward into a lunge, lowering your hips until both knees are bent at approximately 90 degrees, with your front knee aligned over your ankle and your back knee hovering just above the floor. Drive through your front heel to propel yourself forward, bringing your back foot to meet the front, and immediately step into the next lunge with the opposite leg. Maintain an upright torso throughout the movement.
Skip or adapt this movement if any of these apply — and check with a professional when in doubt.
